Accelerated Hospitality Management Programs

Hospitality Accelerated Degrees

Focused learning for quick entry into Cleveland’s rapidly expanding culinary arts industry

The following programs result in valuable certifications and skills that qualify graduates for in-demand culinary careers. Intensive, hands-on culinary instruction takes place Monday through Friday, with evenings and weekends free for industry work. Ideal for adult students seeking quick entry into the local or national culinary arts industry.

Culinarian/Cook

Start in the fall and complete in 4 months

This program equips graduates with entry-level skills in classical and advanced culinary technique and includes ServSafe Manager certification in food safety and sanitation. Primary career opportunities include line cook, grill or sauté cook, prep cook and pantry cook. The 16-credit program features extensive culinary kitchen instruction and labs delivered within a compressed timeline.

Job outlook: 800 open positions in the Cleveland metro area; annual income $28-$32K

Professional Certificates of Proficiency

Start in the fall and complete in 9 months

This program provides a rigorous curriculum of classical and advanced culinary techniques in addition to culinary/business management skills needed for supervisory roles. The 32-credit program features introductory content on management/supervision, cost controls and purchasing. Extensive culinary kitchen instruction and labs are delivered within a compressed timeline.

Job outlook: 400 open positions in the Cleveland metro area; annual income $34-$38K

Accelerated Culinary Arts Associate Degree

Start in the fall and complete in 18 months*

This program provides graduates with the extensive array of classical and advanced culinary skills and knowledge needed for a career as a sous chef, chef or kitchen manager. All Culinary Arts graduates are certified by the American Culinary Federation with designation as a Certified Culinarian. Leadership and business management education combine with advanced culinary knowledge and ServSafe Manager certification to create a well-rounded culinary professional. 

*If you have any existing college degree, this intensive associate degree program has accelerated culinary kitchen instruction and labs that are delivered within a compressed timeline of 12 months. 

Job outlook: 600 open positions in the Cleveland metro area; annual income $42-$80K+

Each program provides nationally recognized ServSafe Manager certification in food safety and sanitation. The Professional Culinarian certificate and Culinary Arts associate degree programs satisfy educational requirements for advanced certifications through the American Culinary Federation. All three programs are stackable and set to initiate in the fall.
