New Students

Beginning Fall 2022, unproctored ALEKS exam scores will no longer be used for placement into Tri-C coursework.

SUBMIT

Items below must be submitted prior to registration

Tri-C Application
Apply to Tri-C. Once your application is processed, you will receive email notification and an acceptance letter via US Mail with your Tri-C student ID number.
FAFSA
Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) even if you don’t plan to use financial aid. It’s required for scholarships and tuition incentive programs.
Transcripts
Submit your high school/GED/prior college transcripts. Transcripts must be received prior to receiving financial aid and in some cases are used for course placement. Temporarily, we will accept unofficial transcripts for high school and GED transcripts only. High school/GED transcripts can be emailed to registraroffice@tri-c.edu. College transcripts must be official.
Test Scores
If you’ve taken the ACT or SAT, submit your test scores. Test scores are valid for two years. Submit scores electronically through the ACT or SAT site or send unofficial score reports via email to admissions@tri-c.edu.

Now that you've been accepted, log in to my Tri-C space and create an account. See instructions.
Financial Planning
Locate the My Financial Aid card on my Tri-C space to review financial requirements, apply for scholarships and discover alternative ways to pay. View Important Dates and information on Scholarships.
Online Learning Assessment
Take My Online Readiness Experience to prepare you to succeed in the classroom and in Tri-C’s online learning environment.
New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is required for new students. We have many options to accomodate your schedule. Select what option is best for you HERE.

Registration

Your final steps to becoming a Tri-C student! You must complete the following in sequential order.

Placement
English and math placement is required for new students prior to registration. Visit the Placement page to learn more about English and math placement. If English is not your first language, you may be required to complete ESL placement first.
Meet with a Tri-C Counselor
Before you register for classes, you must meet with a Tri-C counselor to discuss your major, academic plan, and more. Counseling appointments are virtual and in person. To make an appointment, schedule online or Call 1-216-987-6000. Choose option 4, then select your campus.
Register and Pay
You will register for classes on My Tri-C Space on the Registration Card. You must be prepared to pay or have financial aid requirements completed.
Student Convocation
Take New Student Convocation to familarize yourself with student resources and personnel on campus.

Sign in to my Tri-C space

Sign in to my Tri-C space. As soon as your application is processed, the College will generate your my Tri-C space account. Here, you will obtain important information regarding registration, financial aid and course planning. You can also access your student email through my Tri-C space. Check your email regularly for important updates.

  1. Go to http://my.tri-c.edu.
  2. Click Change Your Password to create a password.
  3. Enter your Tri-C ID (S#) and click Continue.
  4. Enter your date of birth as your old password (Use m/d/yyyy format with no leading zeros.)
  5. Create a new password and reenter it.
  6. Click the "Change" button to be redirected to the my Tri-C space login page.
  7. Log in using your Tri-C ID and the password you just created. 

(You will need to create a new password every 120 days.)
