Collegewide Academic Plan

Collegewide Academic Plan

In Spring 2023, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) began the process of integrated planning by creating its Integrated Facilities Plan and its first Collegewide Academic Plan. Different than a strategic plan, integrated planning is a sustainable approach that builds relationships, aligns the organization and emphasizes the readiness for change. It also engages all sectors of the academy and involves all stakeholders, including faculty, students, staff, external partners and alumni.

Partnering with the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) to guide the College through the process, Tri-C held a series of academic planning orientations for faculty and staff in April, outlining what an Integrated Academic Plan is and the College’s process moving through the fall. During the summer, the Academic Planning Core Team reviewed the results from these sessions and created a series of meetings, surveys and town halls to gain important feedback and input from faculty, staff, administration and external partners and stakeholders.

The timeline for the Collegewide Academic Plan is below:

Orientation Sessions April 2023
Core Team Planning Sessions Summer 2023
Listening Sessions Early Fall 2023
Review Results Late Fall 2023
Draft Plan Early Spring 2023
Finalize Plan Spring 2024
Present Plan to Tri-C Community Late Spring 2024
