Art Therapy: Art therapy is a mental health profession in which clients, facilitated by the art therapist, use art media, the creative process, and the resulting artwork to explore their feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety, and increase self-esteem. Art therapy is widely practiced in a variety of settings including hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, schools, senior communities and many other settings. This speech discusses Art Therapy, and can be customized based upon audience interest.

Art Therapy for Older Adults: Art therapy promotes well-being at any age. It has been shown to have a positive impact on health, cognition, social interaction, stress reduction, confidence, and life's many challenges. This speech discusses art therapy techniques helpful for older adults.

Bioethics: This workshop will look at the overlooked theory of Bioethics known as Care Oriented Bioethics. In healthcare, we have an ethical responsibility to provide proper care, and we will focus on this theory to increase understanding about the elements of good care. You will be challenged as you review this philosophy of care; and the focus of healing beyond what we do, to how we do it.

For this reason, it is intriguing to know that about 40% of the US population are using complementary and alternative therapies. This presentation focuses on various forms of complementary and alternative practices and therapies and the reason for using them.
