Professional Development

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) strengthens the region by empowering employees to grow and lead. Through a wide range of professional development opportunities, the College equips them to build strong workplaces and classrooms that drive meaningful impact across the community.

Tri-C's Community Impact Certificate program is available in COMPASS.

The Community Impact Certificate is a credential that indicates you have completed a program focused on developing skills to create a positive social change through your actions and initiatives in your internal and external communities.

Program highlights include:

  • An engaging four-tiered learning framework
  • A call to action you are asked to identify and commit to
  • A commitment form you will fill out
  • Pre- and post-assessment surveys
  • Curriculum sections that must be completed in order between July 1 and June 30
  • OnDemand modules and experiential learning in the community
  • Can be added to your COMPASS goals
  • Awards a certificate upon completion

Tri-C demonstrates its commitment to professional and personal development by offering LinkedIn Learning to its employees. LinkedIn Learning is an award-winning industry leader in online training, with a digital library containing over 16,000 pieces of content, including technical, business, software and creative topics.

LinkedIn Learning lets you learn at your own pace. You can select courses based on your role and interests. The system will also suggest learning content based on your preferences once you set up your profile. Learn how to set up your LinkedIn Learning profile (available only for Tri-C employees).

Employees can access LinkedIn Learning via the "COMPASS" card in my Tri-C space.
