Eligibility and Courses
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- You are a women seeking a career change, wanting to return to the workforce, unemployed, divorced, widowed or just feeling “stuck.”
- You must complete WIT registration paperwork.
- You must complete an individual registration appointment to determine your eligibility before the start of class.
The program is a no-cost, noncredit course offering:
- Personal Development ― Designed to offer guidance and support, we look at the issues related to self-confidence, motivation, effective communication, attitude, time management and personal responsibility. We concentrate on personal growth and development leading to empowerment.
- Career Exploration ― We will explore your interests, skills and values. What career is a good match for your personality? What are the fastest growing careers? What degree or certificate program is right for you? We will also help you prepare a good resume and hone your interview skills.
- Basic Computer (not offered in virtual or community programs) ― Learn about web searching, social media and email etiquette. We will also explore resume resources and improve your computer skills on various platforms.
- Scavenger Hunt ― Participate in activities designed to help you reflect upon your education and career goals.

WIT is in partnership with the Tri-C Access Centers. Other community partners include Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Laura's Home Women’s Crisis Center and the Hitchcock Center for Women.
