Introduction to Medical Terminology in Bilingual/Spanish

Monday, Feb. 9 - Monday, May 4
5 - 6:05 p.m. 
(Every Monday for 12 weeks)

HTEC1070: The seminar engages students with the Tri-C community and introduces resources and skills necessary for student success. Topics will include personal responsibility, student support services, career and academic planning, time management, and study skills. This course will also introduce students to nursing and other healthcare professions. Students will learn what is necessary to be successful in the healthcare environment, including healthcare roles and career development, personal traits of successful healthcare professionals, cultural considerations in the healthcare industry, effective communication skills, personal responsibility, cultural competence, and professionalism.

Introduction to Medical Terminology in Bilingual/Spanish

Thursday, Feb. 12 - Thursday, May 7
5 - 6:05 p.m. 
(Every Monday for 12 weeks)

HTEC1050: Introduction to medical terminology used by health care professionals with emphasis on the basics of word building, defining, spelling, reading practice, and pronunciation. Designed to provide students with a foundation for medical word building and to help students who intend to enroll in Medical Terminology I and/or Anatomy and Physiology.
