Adobe Acrobat is publishing software for creating, editing and managing Adobe PDF documents.
Why should faculty use it?
- Convert or scan materials to PDF for accessibility
- Combine files from multiple applications
- Collect data with fillable PDF forms
- Create documents that are readable on any device
How faculty access software: Adobe Acrobat DC is available to all faculty and staff on College computers through the Software Center under the Tri-C Resources folder.
Accessibility: If students are required to use this software in a course, an accessibility statement is required to be added to the course’s student resources.
Softchalk
In Softchalk, digital lessons can be created by combining personal materials with interactive learning content and rich media. The mix of personalized content, embedded assessment and interactivity will increase student engagement and improve learning outcomes.
There are two parts to Softchalk: Softchalk Cloud is where Softchalk lessons can be stored and accessed, and Softchalk Create 11 is the desktop application used to create interactive lessons.

How faculty access software: Tri-C Softchalk is the easiest way to access Softchalk. Log in using your S number and password.

Hypothesis
Hypothesis is a social annotation tool that will allow students to engage and respond to another student. Webpages, open textbooks (and OER), and PDF's are among the examples that can be used in Hypothesis to annotate.
