- Tests can be printed as paper copies

- Most questions can be automatically graded by Blackboard, saving time
- There are many different question types available
- Pools of questions can be created and then selected for tests
- The order of questions and answers can be random for each student
- Question groups can be created so that each student would receive different questions for the same learning objective, helping to lesson the possibility of cheating
