Description: StudyMate is a student study tool integrated with Blackboard, Tri-C's learning management system. Based on content faculty and/or students add, StudyMate creates learning activities that students access online (i.e. flash cards, fill-in-the-blank, matching, etc).
Why should faculty use it?

Quizlet
Description: Quizlet is a free online flashcard creation tool. It can create flashcards for students or students can create their own and share them with peers. They can then use the flashcards online on any device in flashcards, study, or game mode.
Why should faculty use it?
- Research has found that flashcards are one of the most effective study tools, especially if students create their own. Flashcards allow students to practice retrieval of information.

Smarthinking
Description: Smarthinking is free online tutoring for students at Tri-C.
Why should faculty use it?
- Smarthinking is integrated directly into Blackboard for student ease of access.
- Students can submit a question and get a timely response, interact with a tutor, schedule a personal tutoring session, or submit a paper to the online writing center.
