The CLEs are conveniently located on each campus to provide streamlined access for faculty to instructional support. The CLE team includes Sr. Instructional Designers, Instructional Technologists, and Instructional Support Specialists, whose expertise provide a wide-range of support to teaching in any modality.

Vision Statement: The Center for Learning Excellence (CLE) will foster a culture of academic collaboration and inspire innovative teaching practices that facilitate student engagement and success. ​

Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide timely instructional support and resources to enhance teaching and learning at Cuyahoga Community College. The Centers for Learning Excellence (CLE) will collaborate with faculty and staff to design and develop courses that promote student-centered learning.

  • Promote instructional design theory and best practices.
  • Provide individual and group design and development support for all modalities using the official course outcomes and supporting objectives.
  • Design, develop, and present relevant and engaging professional development in multiple modalities and formats.
  • Recommend and support the effective use of technology for teaching and learning.
