ACUE at Tri-C: Elevate Your Teaching Practices!

ACUE LogoCuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is proud to partner with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) to provide faculty and staff with access to research-backed professional development designed to enhance teaching effectiveness and student success.

Whether you're looking for quick, actionable strategies or a comprehensive certification in online teaching, ACUE offers flexible, high-quality learning opportunities tailored to your needs.

What is ACUE?

ACUE is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to supporting educators through evidence-based teaching practices. Through our partnership, Tri-C employees have access to:

  • Effective Online Teaching Practices (EOTP) Certification: Master the skills to create equitable and effective online learning experiences with this comprehensive 25-module course.
  • ACUE Commons: Complete bite-sized professional development modules, called "Quick Studies," anytime, anywhere, with this online platform. Additionally, the Commons features resource libraries, community discussion, live events and more!
  • Endorsements: Earn micro-credentials for completing Quick Studies in areas such as AI, Civic and Social Skills, Holistic Student Support, and Preparing Workforce-Ready Students.
  • Community and Collaboration: Connect with colleagues across the College through the Tri-C online group to share insights, resources and best practices.

Apply for the Effective Online Teaching Practices (EOTP) Certification

Ready to take your online teaching to the next level? The EOTP course is a cohort-based, 25-module certification program that will help you design and deliver high-quality online learning experiences.

Cohort Details:

  • Start Date: Sept. 28, 2026
  • Application Deadline: Sept. 14, 2026
  • Who Can Apply: Full-time faculty, adjunct faculty and teaching staff will be given priority.

Applications for the 2026–2027 cohort open on Friday, Sept. 18. Due to the applied nature of this program, active teaching faculty will be given first priority.
