Game Design 101
Do you love playing video games? Imagine having a job where you get to design video games all day. Tri-C’s Game Design 101 summer camp can start you on this exciting career path.
The Information Technology Center of Excellence has developed an innovative summer camp where you’ll learn to create your very own video games! Over five immersive days of hands-on learning, you will learn to make graphics and build your own version of the arcade classic, Pac-Man, using the game engine Stencyl. Design your own hero, villain, collectables, maze and power-ups.
Developing video games will strengthen your understanding of math and logic, and improve your skills in information technology. You will also learn new concepts in sociology and game theory as well as new skills related to graphic design, animation, video, audio and presentation.
