Nuts and Bolts Academy
The Nuts and Bolts Academy provides opportunities for students at multiple grade levels to engage in fun, educational experiences. Our camps expose students to manufacturing and engineering through innovative, hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) activities.

Ages: 11-16 | Cost: $575
Are you a young teen inventor? Do you have a great idea that you’d like to bring to life? If so, this is the camp for you! This two-week camp teaches campers how to brainstorm ideas and make them a reality, with lunch-and-learn sessions led by professionals who have come up with their own inventions. Once campers have designed and created their own models, they will be able to pitch their ideas in a mock Shark Tank. Campers keep the models that they make.
Bits, Bolts & Thingamajigs
Ages: 10-14 | Cost: $250
Campers will learn how to use the latest in manufacturing technology in Cuyahoga Community College fully equipped fab lab the Ideation Station. Participants will create and design their own projects in the fab lab with a focus on design and creativity in manufacturing with an emphasis on entrepreneurship. Campers will enjoy lunch and learns with industry professionals providing them with an insight on what is like to work in manufacturing developing and creating new products. Also campers will have an opportunity to complete in a design challenge and participate in a mock Shark Tank.

Crazy Kitchen Chemist
Ages: 11-16 | Cost: $575
Did you know that you can cook with chemicals? Learn about molecular gastronomy — the science of cooking — in this two-week camp. Campers will have the opportunity to cook and eat a new dish each day using chemicals, syringes, pH meters and other tools usually found in a science lab. Molecular gastronomy kit and apron included.
Ages: 11-15 | Cost: $575
Interested in learning what you can do in a fab lab? For two weeks, campers will explore Tri-C’s Ideation Station — a fully equipped fab lab with 3D printers, laser engravers, CNC router and much more. Campers will create and design their own projects, learning how to use 2D and 3D modeling software to design, laser and print their creations. Projects include T-shirt design, a 3D printed car and furniture design. Campers keep all projects.
Flying High With Drones
Ages: 14-17 | Cost: $500
Build and program your very own drone! Campers will learn GPS mission planning as they construct and program their own personal quadcopter for flight. They will also gain experience piloting a drone on a fun and challenging indoor obstacle course. The finished product is theirs to keep.
Ages: 11-15 | Cost: $25
Project Pipeline Architecture Camp is a national initiative established in 2006 by the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). This two-week camp is open to anyone interested in becoming an architect or learning how to design a building. Campers will learn about hip-hop architecture, eco architecture/sustainability, modern architecture, how to sketch by hand and use 2D/3D software. Once campers have brainstormed, presented and refined their design ideas, they will build a scale model of their design using technology and equipment in the fab lab. This camp includes lunch-and-learn sessions with professional architects and contractors. Campers keep all completed projects.
