This camp is designed by you — the Inventor! Each day, you’ll face a series of challenges that must be overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from world famous inventors, and the most important tool of all: your mind. Construct catapults and forts, fabricate a winning egg drop design and assemble a working lightsaber to take home. Thomas Edison said that invention is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration … but this camp is 100% fun!

Launch Your Creativity

The magic comes alive in every student when they are empowered to be as creative as they were born to be! Black Rocket has 20 years of experience designing courses in the science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) fields. Every program is powered by the child's innate imagination and designed to bring their ideas to life in a fun, hands-on learning environment.

Software must be installed prior to the first day of camp. The Black Rocket team can assist with downloading and setting up your software and engine files. Visit blackrocket.com/help.

3D Game Design With Unity*

Ready to take your game design skills to the next level? With Unity, an industry-grade design software, aspiring game designers learn level editing, 3D modeling and impactful gameplay creation, as well as how to utilize scripts and variables.

Inventor’s League: Prototyping for the Future*

Learn rapid prototyping and problem-solving as you conceptualize and design a product to solve a critical global issue. Each day begins with inspirational profiles of young inventors, such as the 11-year-old who coded a robot to find victims of natural disasters. Next, research a problem to tackle in medicine, architecture, the environment or a topic of your choosing. Once your vision is complete, learn how to draft 2D designs, create 3D models and develop a website to pitch your ideas to your fellow campers.
