Statewide Transfer Guarantees

The University System of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) have created transfer programs that guarantee a seamless transfer of credits.  

 

Ohio Transfer 36 (formerly OTM)
General education courses that represent the core academic skills that are common across Ohio's public colleges and universities. See Tri-C approved Ohio Transfer 36 courses.
Transfer Assurance Guides (TAG)
Foundational/pre-major courses guaranteed to transfer and apply at any of Ohio’s public institutions of higher education.  See Tri-C approved TAG courses.
Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways (OGTPs)
Seamless transfer pathways that promote timely degree completion at Tri-C to Ohio public four-year colleges and universities. See Tri-C's approved OGTP.
Career-Technical Assurance Guides (CTAG or CT2)
Approved successfully completed high school/career center technical programs are eligible to receive  credit at Ohio's public institutions of higher education. See how to receive CTAG credit at Tri-C.
Industry-Recognized Credential Assurance Guides (ITAG)
New statewide transfer initiative that guarantees the award of college level credit to students earning agreed upon industry-recognized credentials.
Military Assurance Guides (MTAG)
College credit awarded for training and experience in the United States Armed Forces or National Guard. See information on receiving Tri-C MTAG credit.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Subject knowledge and skills acquired through prior learning by taking a CLEP exam. See Tri-C CLEP details.
Advanced Placement (AP)
Guaranteed college credits with qualitfying scores for College Board AP examinations. See Tri-C AP details and Tri-C AP equivalencies.
One Year Option (OYO)
30 technical college credit hours awarded for graduating from an Ohio Technical Center with an approved industry-recognized credential. See Tri-C OYO details (choose “Ohio Transfer To Degree Guarantee”, then scroll down to “One Year Option (OYO)”.
