Background Check Information
Effective Jan. 12, 2013, the BCI process may begin no sooner than six months prior to entry into a health care or nursing program and no later than the first day of program entry. (Program entry is defined as a student’s first day of classes in which the student begins their program.)
The process for students planning to register for NURS-1010: Introduction to Patient Care Concepts should fall within the established guidelines. Failure to meet all required objectives successfully can delay entry into the course.
Cuyahoga Community College has partnered with Complio to provide students with a secure account to manage health, background check and fingerprinting requirements. Click here for information on beginning this process.
You must set up your Complio account and start the fingerprinting/background check process within six months of your anticipated NURS-1010 start date. If the process is completed more than six months prior to entering NURS-1010, you will need to complete additional background check/fingerprinting at your own expense prior to starting the program.
If you have previously started a Complio account account please email NursingCompliance@tri-c.edu BEFORE starting a new account. Please allow 48 business hours for a response.
If you have already started an account in Castlebranch, you ARE REQUIRED to start a new account in Complio.
