Program Description

This program offers training for both new and experienced computer numerical control (CNC) personnel. Students new to CNC can complete the entire program to learn the basic CNC operator skills necessary for entry-level employment in manufacturing and earn a CNC Technology certificate.  Experienced CNC personnel can enroll in any of the CNC Certificates courses they choose to upgrade their skills. An assessment is given at the end of each course. A score of 70% or better is required to receive a certificate for each course.  Students successfully completing all five courses will also earn a CNC Technology certificate for the entire program.

Who should attend?
Manual machinists, CNC operators, CNC programmers, shop floor technicians and shop floor supervisors.

Participants will learn::

  • Shop Math
  • Blueprint Reading & Gaging Review
  • Machining processes
  • Set-up and Operation of CNC Mill and Lathe
  • Tooling used for CNC Machining
  • Basic CNC Programming for Mill and Lathe
  • Overview of CAD/CAM using MasterCAM

Prerequisites:
