Paralegal Studies student selected for Louis Stokes Scholars Program

Paralegal Studies student, Jasmine De Jesus, was one of ten students chosen to participate in the Louis Stokes Scholars Program, which provides an opportunity for local college students interested in learning more about the law and legal careers.  As a participant, Jasmine was featured in the September edition of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Journal.  You can view the September edition here. The article is on page 6.

LEX winner announcementParalegal Studies Student Takes First Place in the LEX Scholarship Competition

For the second year in a row, a Tri-C Student took first place in the LEX scholarship competition.  This is a wonderful achievement, as students from over 150 institutions are eligible to participate in this competitive scholarship competition.  The winner, Valerie West, will get $1,500 and her essay will be published in The Legal Educator - a national journal.

The LEX Scholarship Competition is an annual student writing competition for paralegal and legal studies students enrolled in American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE) member institutions with LEX chapters.

Ever wonder where our paralegal graduates end up?

Many jump into the paralegal profession, while others may continue their education at a four-year institution or even move on to law school, depending on their prior post-secondary education.
