Tri-C's Workforce Training provides both non-credit and credit training for individuals and businesses to assist individuals with skills leading to employment. Tri-C's Corporate College provides professional development and corporate training opportunities.

Tri-C's on-campus Art History courses incorporate Meta Quest 3 VR headsets, giving students the unparalleled opportunity to explore the history of human culture through an interactive lens. Creating a dynamic and multisensory learning environment, the use of VR equipment allows our students to formally analyze, interpret and personally connect with historical landmarks and site-specific artworks around the world.

Interested in working in a vibrant local studio? In partnership with Future Ink Graphics (FIG), these two paid internships gives Tri-C students the opportunity to gain real-world experience while building skills in arts entrepreneurship and nonprofit operations. Tri-C interns will collaborate with artists and FIG staff, contribute to community arts programming, and explore the many opportunities available to working artists in Cleveland. Along the way, you'll build professional connections and gain a deeper understanding of the region's creative community.
1) Community Arts Administration and Grants Internship
About the 10-Week Program: Learn how a nonprofit arts organization operates while gaining first-hand experience in grant research, fundraising, and community programming. Working alongside FIG staff, you will research funding opportunities, assist with grant proposals, help coordinate community events, and support donor communications and outreach efforts.
What You'll Learn and Do:
Learn how non-profit arts organizations secure funding and build community partnerships.
Work alongside studio art professionals and donor networks.
Help create programs and develop grants that connect artists with the public.
2) Community Events and Outreach Internship
About the 10-Week Program: Gain firsthand experience in arts event management and community engagement while working alongside FIG staff to support programs and events throughout Northeast Ohio. Interns will assist with event planning, logistics, artist coordination, audience engagement, and on-site event support at both FIG and partner organizations. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with community partners while learning how nonprofit arts organizations plan and deliver public programs. Ideal for students interested in arts administration, event management, and community programming, this internship requires travel to offsite locations and occasional evening or weekend availability.
What You'll Learn and Do:
Assist with arts events at FIG and partner organizations
Help coordinate event logistics and artist support.
Engage with the community through public arts programming.
Program Details:
Duration: 10-Weeks (Jan. 11 - Mar. 26, 2027)
Approximately five hours per week.
Stipend: $1,000 (per internship)

This immersive 14-week internship at the Cleveland Museum of Art is designed for Tri-C students interested in museum education, public engagement, and the arts. As interns, you'll progress from foundational training to leading gallery conversations and engaging with museum visitors, building essential skills in close-looking, communication, facilitation, teamwork, technology, and professional practice - preparing you for a future career in museums and cultural organizations.

The Maltz Museum is seeking a part-time Museum Interpreter to facilitate engaging, inquiry-based tours for visitors, primarily K-12 school groups. This public-facing role is a strong fit for students interested in museum education, art history, history, culture, public programming, and visitor engagement.
Interpreters lead age-appropriate tours, share accessible information about museum objects and exhibitions, encourage visitor participation, and help create a welcoming and inclusive museum experience. Candidates should be comfortable speaking with groups, communicating with visitors of all ages and backgrounds, and adapting tours based on audience needs.

About the 10-Week Summer Program: Under the guidance of ICA–Cleveland's Special Projects Manager, Tri-C interns will engage directly with the processes of art conservation, handling, and display preparation. You will visit major Cleveland museums, connect with professionals in the field, and observe conservation projects in progress, all while gaining firsthand insight into the preservation and presentation of historic and contemporary artworks.

Art handling, packing, and installation.
Technical skills - from stretching canvases to shaping plexiglass mounts.

What does it take to curate an installation at the Cleveland Museum of Art? This paid, collaborative internship invites a select group of Tri-C students to go behind the scenes of museum work. Interns will gain hands-on experience with the CMA's prestigious Education Art Collection containing 10,000 authentic works spanning 6,000 years of global human history.
About the Internship: Stepping into the shoes of a curator, interns will work alongside museum professionals to gain hands-on experience in exhibition development, art handling, and display preparation. Guided by the CMA's Director of the Education Art Collection, Tri-C students will help create installations, choose objects for display, research and write interpretive content for a public exhibition while gaining real-world insight into curatorial practices at a world-class museum.
What You'll Learn and Do:
Curate and develop a museum installation from concept to display.
Research, select, and write about artworks from a global education collection.
Work hands-on with museum professionals in art handling and exhibition preparation.
Program Details:
Duration: Fall 2026 (September – December)
Workload: Approximately 40 hours total to be completed across the Fall semester; hybrid format with independent research and on-site museum work.
