Survivors of Suicide

Anyone who has ever lost a loved one to suicide is considered a survivor of suicide. Being a survivor comes with a vast array of experienced emotions, and the change of life that occurs can feel impossible to deal with. However, there are many resources in print, face-to-face and via online discussion forums available to assist. You are not alone. We hope, when you are ready, you explore these helpful resources.

SAVE Grief Support
Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE) helps people personally cope, gives ideas to help others, offers a grief packet, and lists support groups.
Cornerstone of Hope
Independence, OH group that assists with grieving from any reason, individual counseling, and offers a survivors of suicide loss support group.
Books & Resources
The American Association of Suicidology offers multiple resources for survivors: fact sheets, books, how to help a survivor, personal survivor stories, and more.
