New Tri-C Tuition Rate Takes Effect This Month
Cost per credit hour will remain lowest in Ohio
CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) Board of Trustees has approved an increase in tuition and fees, raising the cost by $10 per credit hour. The increase goes into effect on Friday, March 27.
The new cost per credit hour — $139.54 for Cuyahoga County residents — remains the lowest in Ohio for the upcoming academic year.
The tuition increase is necessary to ensure the College's ability to provide high-quality academic and workforce training programs and critical student support services.
On average, Tri-C students will pay only 18% of the total cost of their education based on the new tuition rate, and 55% of students have no out-of-pocket costs.
The College offers students a variety of options to lower their academic costs. These include the Tuition Guarantee Program, tuition incentive programs such as the 15+ Perks and 30 Hour Credit Standard, scholarship and grant opportunities, and Student Emergency Fund programs.
