The 46th Tri-C JazzFest, presented by KeyBank, concludes on Saturday, June 28, with five standout performances: A celebration of Cleveland's jazz history with Dominick Farinacci, an homage to the enduring duo of Chick Corea and Gary Burton with Taylor Eigsti and Christian Tamburr, the enticing collaboration of The Baylor Project, the soulful sounds of Kirk Whalum and Jonathan Buter, and the global music of the Pedrito Martinez Group.
Nolen M. Ellison, Ph.D., the second president of Tri-C and University of Kansas basketball legend, passed away at age 83. Ellison was a visionary leader who helped shape Tri-C's identity during its foundational years. His forward-thinking leadership modernized the institution and positioned it as a beacon of access and opportunity.
A College vice president was recognized as a YWCA Woman of Achievement for her career success, community service, leadership, mentoring and dedication to YWCA's mission. YWCA Greater Cleveland honored Claire Rosacco, Tri-C's vice president of Government Relations and Community Outreach, as part of its 2025 Women of Achievement Awards Celebration.
Following a nationwide search, Tri-C has selected Rebecca Rahschulte, Ph.D., as the next president of the Western Campus. She brings more than 20 years of higher education experience to the College and will begin her new role on July 1.
