Tri-C Selects Rebecca Rahschulte as Western Campus President
Rahschulte to begin her leadership role in July
PARMA — Following a nationwide search, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) has selected Rebecca L. Rahschulte, Ph.D., as the next president of the Western Campus. She brings more than 20 years of higher education experience to the College and will begin her new role on July 1.
Rahschulte comes to Tri-C from Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana, which offers more than 70 academic programs at 19 full-service campuses and an additional 26 learning locations.
"Tri-C truly meets students where they are, providing the resources and support they need to be successful while they are here and creating a sense of belonging," she said. "I look forward to working with community partners and with faculty and students to achieve a common good."
Rahschulte has most recently served as the vice president for Academic Affairs, responsible for leading the continual development of Ivy Tech's educational programming. She also supports Ivy Tech's institutional accreditation and assessment processes and provides administrative support and advocacy for Ivy Tech's Statewide Faculty Council.
During her tenure, Rahschulte served the Ivy Tech community through her work as the vice president of K-14 and Statewide Initiatives, site director for the Batesville Campus Operations and dean of Arts, Sciences and Education. She has also served the students of Ivy Tech as a full-time faculty member and the faculty as the chair of the Social/Behavioral Sciences and Humanities department.
An active member of the national community college movement and regional organizations, she has collaborated with a number of organizations throughout her career, including as a commissioner on the American Association of Community College's Commission for College Readiness, a member of the advisory board for the Indiana Office of Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship, a member of the executive board of the Boy Scouts of America's Hoosier Trails Council, and formerly on the board of directors for the United Way of Greater Cincinnati.
Rahschulte was also selected as a Rising Presidential Fellow by the Aspen College Excellence Program in 2024.
She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Georgia and a Master of Education and Doctor of Philosophy in School Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
