Explanation of the Contest
(re)imaginings is an opportunity to lend your imagination to Disability Visibility: First Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century edited by Alice Wong, Tri-C’s Common Reading Program text for 2021-22.
You can (re)imagine any portion of the book in any medium or explore the book’s themes. Your (re)imagined entry should reflect the ideas raised in Wong's book.
The idea is to relate something from the text in the form of a poem, essay, song, sculpture, play, dance, short film, speech, recipe, photograph, painting, research project, poster, etc. Academic work is likewise welcome and encouraged. It’s up to you to choose a form that works for you.
