Adobe Acrobat DC

Adobe Acrobat LogoAdobe Acrobat is publishing software for creating, editing and managing Adobe PDF documents.

Why should faculty use it?

  • Convert or scan materials to PDF for accessibility
  • Combine files from multiple applications
  • Collect data with fillable PDF forms
  • Create documents that are readable on any device

How faculty access software: Adobe Acrobat DC is available to all faculty and staff on College computers through the Software Center under the Tri-C Resources folder.

Accessibility: If students are required to use this software in a course, an accessibility statement is required to be added to the course’s student resources.

Hypothesis

Hypothesis is a social annotation tool that will allow students to engage and respond to another student.  Webpages, open textbooks (and OER), and PDF's are among the examples that can be used in Hypothesis to annotate.

  • Helps build a sense of community in your course(s)
  • Students can put text, links, videos, equations in their annotations

How faculty access software: Hypothesis can be accessed directly from Brightspace in your course.
