Eligibility:
All currently enrolled Tri-C Art and Visual Communication and Design students at the Metro Campus.
Submissions:
Students may submit up to three (3) artworks made for a Tri-C Art or Vis Comm course from January 2025 to present. Artwork previously submitted or accepted to past Tri-C student exhibitions will not be considered. For jurying consideration, please submit your online artwork entry form(s) by Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Artworks will be accepted in the following categories:
- Drawing
- 3-Dimensional Form (including Ceramics)
- Design
- Painting
- Non-Credit (all artworks created by non-credit-seeking students, regardless of media)
Important Dates:
- Deadline to Submit: Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
- Drop off Accepted Artwork: Wednesday, April 15
- Exhibition Dates: *Official Dates Forthcoming
- Reception/Award Ceremony: *Date Forthcoming
- Pickup of Artwork: After Monday, May 4

The Importance of Photographing Your Artwork
Since your artwork will be juried based on photographs you take of the work, the quality and clarity of your photos is of the utmost importance. Please ask your art/design professor for advice when photographing your work or before submitting your application. Poor photographs will often lead to disqualification.
Photography tips
Awards:
Generous awards will be given for the strongest artworks in each category. Awards are conferred at the exhibition’s Public Reception and Awards Ceremony. Students must be present at the reception to receive their award.
Agreement to Exhibit:
By applying to the student exhibition, you agree to loan your artwork to Gallery Metro for the entire exhibition.
Insurance:
Tri-C insures all artworks under an all-risk property insurance policy for the amount indicated on artist’s entry form, against all risks of physical loss or damage from any external cause while on location during the period of the loan. Transportation to and from the exhibition location is not covered by this policy.
Jury/Selection Process:
Tri-C Metro faculty will serve as the jurying body and will select artworks to be included in the exhibition. They will also choose the award-winning artwork(s).
Presentation of Artwork:
If your work is accepted into the exhibition, it is your responsibility to prepare the work for gallery presentation. Should you be accepted into the show, you will receive detailed presentation information via email.
All 2-D and 3-D artworks should be presented in a professional manner. They must be completely dry. All works must be sturdy and intact.
- Drawings, 2-D works, Design/Illustrations – Framing is required. If self-framing artwork, simple frames with clean lines are recommended in colors such as white, black, or light wood. Hanging wire or hardware must be present. If needed, frames and necessary hardware are available for student use and must be assembled by the student with guidance from their instructors.
- Paintings - Paintings on canvas or panel must be ready to hang, either framed or with secure hanging wire attached. Edges should be neatly finished (painted a solid color, continued from the image, or otherwise clean and presentable).
