How OLAT Academic Technology Ambassadors Can Assist Fellow Faculty
- Help convey faculty perspective on Brightspace
- Share strategies surrounding content type and subject area
- Make suggestions on organizing content for your specific discipline
- Test various aspects of your Brightspace course as a demo student to make sure they work
- Provide additional training beyond what has already been completed
- Advise on which gradebook settings are most appropriate
- Review grade center
How to Get Help
Complete Required Online Training
D2L’s Brightspace Basics for Faculty Curriculum (D2L100) is a required three-part, on-demand training in Compass and will take approximately three hours to complete. Please make sure to finish this training before reaching out to the Ambassadors for assistance.
Drop-In Sessions
One and three hour drop-in Support Sessions are available for you to get direct support from Ambassadors and CLE staff. These are available in-person or virtually.
Individual Meetings
OLAT Academic Technology Ambassadors are available to meet with faculty virtually via Webex or in-person at the campus CLEs. To schedule a time, email the individual with whom you would like to collaborate. Reference the Faculty Support Flowchart to learn who to contact for your specific question.
