‘Triceratops Trample’ 5K Benefits Tri-C Students
April 27 race at Eastern Campus will raise money for student scholarships
Join the herd at the Triceratops Trample and raise money for student scholarships during a 5K run and walk at the Eastern Campus of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®).
The fun and fitness begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at the campus, located at 4250 Richmond Road in Highland Hills. The multi-loop course circles the campus grounds.
Online registration is open through 9 a.m. Friday, April 26, at www.tri-c.edu/Spring5k. Early registration cost is $20 ($15 for current Tri-C students). Day-of registration is $25 ($20 for Tri-C students).
Participants who register by April 17 are guaranteed a race T-shirt and headband. Runners and walkers who register after that date will receive shirts and headbands while supplies last.
Can’t make it to the race but still want to contribute to student success at Tri-C? Consider sponsoring a student for the race. The cost is $25, with both sponsor and student receiving a race shirt.
Participants can also choose to add a body composition assessment to their registration. The analysis is done in a BodPod, which uses air displacement to gauge body fat and muscle mass. The cost for registration and assessment is $35 ($30 for Tri-C students).
The Triceratops Trample is managed and sponsored by the College’s Sport and Exercise Studies program, which prepares students for careers as personal trainers, fitness specialists and other health-related professions.
Proceeds from the event benefit student scholarships through the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation.
