Tri-C Volleyball Player Claims Conference Honor
Tionne El-Amin named OCCAC Player of the Week
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) volleyball player Tionne El-Amin recently earned Player of the Week honors from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
El-Amin totaled 94 kills and 100 points while leading the Challengers to two wins in five matches between Sept. 24-30. The defensive specialist also contributed 25 digs and four blocks.
She is the first Tri-C volleyball player this season to win an OCCAC Player of the Week award. The Challengers are 9-15 on the season and 4-7 in conference play, which puts them sixth in the standings.
El-Amin, a sophomore from Akron, is working toward an Associate of Arts degree at Tri-C.
