Tri-C Represented in CPL's Cleveland 230

Trustees Geralyn Presti and Victor Ruiz among those honored

To celebrate Cleveland's 230th birthday this year, the Cleveland Public Library has released the Cleveland 230, honoring the individuals who have shaped the city’s history and are shaping its future. 

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is well-represented on the list, with Board of Trustees Chair Geralyn Presti honored for her contributions to the arts and Trustee Victor Ruiz honored for his contributions to education. 

In addition, immigration attorney Margaret Wong, a prominent supporter of Tri-C, was named to the list for her civic work in helping thousands of Greater Clevelanders become permanent U.S. residents.  

Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel, prominent Tri-C donors who provided the funding for the establishment of the Mandel Humanities Center and Mandel Scholars Academy at Tri-C's Eastern Campus, were honored for their support and advancement of nonprofits. 

"Tri-C has been extremely fortunate to associate itself with some of the most influential and forward-thinking leaders of Greater Cleveland," said Tri-C President Michael A. Baston, J.D., Ed.D. "The inclusion of Trustees Presti and Ruiz, Margaret Wong and the Mandels on the Cleveland 230 is a tremendous point of pride for our College."
