Tri-C Remains a Top Regional and National Workplace

College earns 20th consecutive NorthCoast 99 award and named a 2026 Great College to Work For

Ami Hollis, Tri-C's vice president for people, culture and talent development, said these distinctions are more than awards — they help define the College's identity.

"These recognitions celebrate what is at the heart of Tri-C, which is our extraordinary faculty and staff," Hollis said. "Their commitment to one another and to our students builds the kind of culture where people feel seen, supported and inspired to do their best work."

The NorthCoast 99 Award honors the 99 best workplaces for top talent in 22 Northeast Ohio counties. This year, Tri-C earned the Platinum Award, marking 20 years of continuous recognition.

Tri-C’s recognition in recent years includes:

  • 2026: Platinum Award: 20 years of recognition
  • 2025: Talent Attraction, Acquisition and Onboarding
  • 2024: Employee Well-Being
  • 2022: Large Employer (500+ employees)
  • 2021: Employee Engagement & Talent Development
  • 2019: Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding

Presented by ERC, the NorthCoast 99 Awards recognize companies with human resources practices that drive results, provide competitive advantages and allow businesses to innovate and grow.

Applicants are evaluated based on policies and practices related to the attraction and retention of top performers, as well as data collected from employee surveys. The process provides a blueprint for possible workplace improvements and validates current organizational initiatives.

The College was also named a 2026 Great College to Work For, marking its second consecutive year of recognition.

Nationally, the College was just one of 76 institutions to earn recognition as a 2026 Great College to Work For. Tri-C achieved significant increases across every category based on employee feedback during the spring, the primary criterion for recognition.

The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: a questionnaire that captures employment data and workplace policies from each institution and a survey administered to faculty, administrators and professional support staff.

"Our people set the standard for collaboration, belonging and creating a culture of care, and that's what makes this a truly great place to work and grow," Hollis said. "We lead with care and purpose to create a workplace where pride, connection and impact thrive."
