Tri-C Performing Arts Welcomes Endea Owens and The Cookout
Nov. 14 performance takes place at Metro Campus Auditorium
CLEVELAND — One of jazz's most dynamic emerging voices will blend jazz, gospel and R&B into feel-good music when Endea Owens & The Cookout perform on Friday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Metropolitan Campus Auditorium of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®).
The program is presented through the Tri-C Performing Arts Series.
Owens, a Detroit-raised bassist, composer and recording artist, is a Juilliard graduate and a winner of Emmy, Grammy and Peabody awards. She is a member of the house band for The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and has performed with legends such as Wynton Marsalis, Diana Ross and Jon Batiste. Her work spans acclaimed albums, film scores and major performances, while her nonprofit organization, The Community Cookout, has provided meals and music to thousands globally.
Owens also curates and composes for leading arts institutions and has recently released her debut album, Feel Good Music.
For performances at the Tri-C Metro Campus, free, secure underground parking is available in Lot 5 off Woodland Avenue near East 30th Street.
