Tri-C Classical Piano Series Announces 2025-2026 Concert Season
Free recital series begins Nov. 16 with performance by Elliot Wuu
CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) announced today the return of the Classical Piano Series for the 2025-2026 season. The three-concert series will take place in the Metropolitan Campus Auditorium.
Now in its 19th season, the concert series continues to bring internationally acclaimed artists and rising young stars from around the world to Greater Cleveland. Admission is free to all concerts, but tickets are required.
"We are delighted to present three world-class concerts once again this year," said Emanuela Friscioni, director of Tri-C's Classical Piano Series. "Our roster of emerging and established artists will bring their exceptional musical mastery to the Metro Auditorium stage, offering our audiences the opportunity to experience live classical music in free performances that are open to everyone in the community."
The series will showcase the extraordinary talent of four pianists this season:
Elliot Wuu
Sunday, Nov. 16 | 2 p.m.
Praised for his "power, speed and finesse of artists twice his age" by the Tribune Star, Elliot Wuu has captured audiences with colorful tones, sensitive musicality and emotional depth in his music. Wuu, a Young Steinway Artist, was named a 2018 Gilmore Young Artist, one of the most prestigious awards bestowed every two years to two young pianists up to 22 years old. Wuu is also a winner of the Salon de Virtuosi 2021 Career Grant.
Genova and Dimitrov Piano Duo
Sunday, Feb. 15 | 2 p.m.
World-famous piano duo Aglika Genova and Liuben Dimitrov have been delighting audiences and experts for years with their unique, standard-setting interpretations, as well as several world premiere recordings, whether playing one-piano four-hands, two pianos or with orchestra. Hailed as a "legendary ensemble" by American Record Guide and as a "top duo at the zenith of their mastery" by German magazine Fono Forum, the renowned international piano duo celebrates its 30th anniversary with a program of keyboard masterpieces.
Stewart Goodyear
Sunday, April 12 | 2 p.m.
Proclaimed "a phenomenon" by the Los Angeles Times and "one of the best pianists of his generation" by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Stewart Goodyear is an accomplished concert pianist, improviser and composer. He has performed with and has been commissioned by many of the major orchestras and chamber music organizations around the world.
The Metro Campus Auditorium is located at 2809 Woodland Ave. in Cleveland. Free, secure parking is available in Lot 5 off Woodland Avenue near East 30th Street.
