Tri-C Accounting Faculty Member Earns OSCPA Honors

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) assistant accounting professor Pamela Simmons has received a 2026 Power of Change award from the Ohio Society of CPAs.  

In annoucing the award, the OSCPA said that caring for, offering guidance to other parents of and advocating for special needs children taught Simmons virtues that she carried over to the classroom.

“The most important lessons she imparts on her students have little to do with debits and credits, but rather the importance of embracing patience, empathy and grace,” the organization said. 

The Power of Change award celebrates women who lift others up, serve as role models and drive meaningful change across the profession and in their communities. 

The Power of Change is a peer-nominated award. The OSCPA will honor all 2026 Power of Change winners at a luncheon Nov. 17.
