Transportation Innovation Center To Expand Availability of Class D Car Testing
Scheduled testing appointments and walk-ins available Monday through Friday
EUCLID — To help reduce community members' waiting times for driver testing, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is expanding its Car Driver Testing (Class D) services.
In 2023, the Transportation Innovation Center (TIC) in Euclid began offering Class D Car Testing due to a backlog in scheduling a Class D Car test at BMV testing locations throughout the county. In some cases, candidates were waiting up to six weeks for a testing date.
In the first full year, the TIC Driver Testing Center carried out nearly 1,700 Class D Car tests and expects to complete around 1,900 tests this year.
Candidates can schedule a test through the Ohio BMV Online Services website. Select "Schedule a Driving or Skills Test" and choose "Tri-C TIC" for the location.
Three test types are available:
- Full Car Test (Road and Maneuverability): $40 scheduled or $55 walk-in
- Road Test: $25 scheduled or $35 walk-in
- Maneuverability: $15 scheduled or $20 walk-in
The TIC is located at 24881 Rockwell Drive, Euclid 44117. The Driver Testing Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. ‒ 4:30 p.m. and is closed from noon — 1 p.m. for lunch.
More information is available on the Car Driver Testing (Class D) webpage or by calling 216-987-3400.
