Spring 2026 Commencement: Arianna Frolo
Arianna Frolo's college journey began with more questions than certainty. When she started attending Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), she set her sights on a science degree, unsure of where it would lead. But something felt off. Courses felt more like chores, and despite her strong academic history, she struggled to connect with the work.
Then came a turning point. Midsemester, Frolo made an impulsive but bold decision to change her major to the Interior Design program at the Eastern Campus — a move that reshaped her college experience and her future. Almost immediately, she thrived in her classes and felt fully engaged in her program.
Frolo's journey is a reminder that finding the right path can change everything.
"I simply love all sides of the field, which is why I am happy I found a position where I can work in both sales and actual design work," Frolo said.
While at Tri-C, Frolo was part of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Honors Program, which she said gave her new experiences and opportunities to meet unique and like-minded peers. She also volunteered with the Health Is Here team that focuses on mental health.
Frolo will earn an Associate of Applied Business in Interior Design from the School of Creative Arts when the College celebrates Spring Commencement on May 15 at the Wolstein Center.
She plans to move to Charlotte, North Carolina, after graduation to begin her career as a showroom consultant and interior designer for a flooring, window and cabinetry company. She has also taken on a few clients as a freelancer and hopes to continue that path.
"One day, I'd like to have my own vacation home rental business, where I host guests in homes I have designed," she said.
What made you choose Tri-C?
I first enrolled in Tri-C as a high school student, completing College Credit Plus courses. From the first class I took, I knew Tri-C was where I wanted to end up studying.
How has Tri-C changed your life?
Tri-C has helped me grow more confident as a person. Before attending Tri-C, I was this little ball of anxiety, too afraid to even speak up in class. Now, I am the most confident version of myself.
Do you have any pearls of wisdom to share with students considering a similar degree or certificate program?
Your first projects won't be perfect, but with time, you will develop your own unique design style. Throughout this program, you will collaborate with your peers and witness that every person and designer is unique in their own special way.
Tri-C will celebrate the academic achievements of its newest graduates during Commencement on May 15 at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. Check our Spring 2026 Graduate Stories page leading up to the event for more highlights from the Class of 2026.
