CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) received three 2024 Paragon Awards from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) at last month's national conference in New Orleans. The conference also concluded a yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of NCMPR, which was founded in 1974.
The College's Marketing and Communications team was awarded in the following categories:
- Silver in the Brochure category for its health careers and recruitment brochure
- Bronze in the Print Advertisement category for its "Keep Moving Forward" enrollment campaign
- Bronze in the Long Form Writing category for the article "Behind the Scenes" in the Summer 2024 Tri-C Times issue
"The awards earned are a recognition of the expertise and dedication of the entire Marketing and Communications department," said India Pierce Lee, the executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Tri-C. "The efforts from each person who makes up this talented team are central to fulfilling the College's mission."
"Our members are doing the important work of ensuring both prospective and current students know of the potentially life-changing opportunities available at their institutions," said Virginia Moreland, NCMPR's 2024-2025 president and the director of marketing and advertising at the Community College System of Tennessee. "The winning entries demonstrated the incredible creativity, commitment and resourcefulness of community college marketing professionals throughout our organization, and we are so proud to recognize them with the Paragon Awards."
The 2024 Paragon Awards drew 1,570 entries from 205 colleges across the country and were judged by 59 professionals from the marketing and public relations industry.
NCMPR's Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design, strategy and communication at community and technical colleges. It's the only national competition that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.
