$3,000 Grant to Benefit Tri-C's Promote the Vote Efforts

Government relations executive named Project Pericles Civic Fellow

Katie Montgomery, executive director of government relations at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C^®), has been named one of 20 Project Pericles Civic Fellows for 2026-2027.

Civic Fellows from across the country will work together for the next year to share best practices around civic-oriented programming and student voter education initiatives. They'll share what they learn to help other colleges strengthen civic learning on their campuses.

The honor includes a $3,000 grant to help jumpstart a new civic engagement initiative at each institution. Tri-C Government Relations will use the grant to expand Promote the Vote activities across the College, including a new civic engagement-focused Faculty Champions cohort. 

Project Pericles is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing civic learning to the heart of higher education.
