A Top Workplace Again: Tri-C Receives 18th NorthCoast 99 Award

Award recognizes organizations with HR practices that drive results

NorthCoast 99 logoCuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) has once again been recognized as a top workplace in Northeast Ohio, winning its 18th NorthCoast 99 award. Each year, the award honors the 99 best workplaces for top talent across 22 counties.

The College won first place in the Employee Well-Being category, recognizing its robust Health and Well-Being program. The Tri-C Health and Well-Being program encourages employees and their families to engage in healthy lifestyle habits, increasing awareness of the factors and resources that contribute to well-being, empowering employees to take responsibility for their own health, and supporting a sense of community within the College.

Ami Hollis, Tri-C's vice president of human resources, said the latest NorthCoast 99 honor reflects the dedication of the College's employees.

"Winning the Northcoast 99 Award reflects our commitment to fostering a supportive and innovative work environment," she said. "Our employees deserve the credit for creating a workplace where every person can thrive and contribute to the College's mission and goals. It's an honor to be recognized as a top place to work."

Presented by ERC, the NorthCoast 99 Awards recognize companies with human resources practices that drive results, provide competitive advantages and allow businesses to innovate and grow.

Applicants are evaluated based on policies and practices related to the attraction and retention of top performers, as well as data collected from employee surveys. The process provides a blueprint for possible workplace initiatives and validates current organizational initiatives.

More than 3,000 people work at Tri-C, making it one of the region's largest employers.

"Winning NorthCoast 99 is not easy," said ERC President Kelly Keefe. "This group of 99 employers is constantly evolving, listening and responding to the needs and desires of today's talent. We commend the 2024 winners for setting a benchmark for excellence."
