The in-person ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 2 at 3 p.m. at Progressive Field, 2401 Ontario Street, Cleveland.
1) Petition to Graduate
Students who plan to participate in the Commencement ceremony must petition to graduate beforehand.
To determine your eligibility:
Step 1: Run your degree audit at tri-c.edu/degreeworks.
Step 2: Call 216-987-6000 (Option 4) or click here to schedule a counseling appointment.
Deadline to guarantee your name in the commencement program book was Friday, March 25.
2) Guests and Ticketing
Tickets are required to enter Progressive Field. Each graduate will need a ticket for themselves and can reserve up to eight additional tickets for family and friends. The student is responsible for distributing the tickets to their guests.
Do not lose your tickets. No duplicate tickets available. Tickets required for entry.
Children under 2 do not need a ticket but must sit on the lap of a parent or guardian.
Enter Progressive Field through the Left Field gates.
Ticket order details will be emailed to those students who RSVPd to attend Commencement. Make sure to check your Tri-C email for updates.
3) Purchase a Cap and Gown
Purchase your keepsake cap, gown (includes white stole) and colored tassel at a campus bookstore.
Cap, gown and tassel: $44.94
If purchased separately:
- Gown only: $28.98, plus tax
- Cap only: $8.98, plus tax
- Tassel only: $6.98, plus tax
Note: White stoles are provided to all students participating in graduation regardless of whether they purchase a cap and gown. They can be picked up in the Barnes & Noble bookstore.

4) Pick Up Honors Cord and Stole
Students who have maintained at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA as of the end of Fall 2021 semester can pick up their honors cord at the following locations:
- Eastern Campus Student Engagement (ESS 1303)
- Metropolitan Campus Student Life (MCC 200L2)
- Western Campus Student Engagement (WHCS A100)
- Westshore Campus Welcome Desk
Stoles
Stoles (other than the white ones provided by the College) are available by individual groups for purchase. Contact your affinity group (e.g. PTK, Black American Council, Lambda GSA) for specific stole-ordering and purchasing information.
5) Pick Up Your Parking Pass
Graduate parking:

One complimentary parking pass will be available for each graduate at the campus locations listed below beginning Wednesday, May 11 until Wednesday, June 1 at 5 p.m.

- Western Campus Student Engagement (WHCS A100)
- Westshore Campus Welcome Desk
Note: Cars without this parking pass will pay standard rates.
Guest parking:
Several public parking lots and garages are available in the general area. (Standard rates apply.)

7) Update your contact information:
If you plan to petition to graduate this spring, you will be informed of the results by mid-July. Diplomas, certificates and letters will be sent via USPS.
