Spring 2023 Commencement

Spring 2023 Commencement will be held Friday, May 19 at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University

Petition to Graduate

Students who plan to participate in the spring Commencement ceremony must petition to graduate beforehand. Deadline to petition for the Spring 2023 Commencement ceremony is Friday, April 7.

Students who have petitioned to graduate will receive communications regarding how to RSVP to attend the Commencement ceremony. Be sure to check your Tri-C email often.

Purchase a Cap and Gown

Purchase your keepsake cap, gown (includes white stole) and colored tassel at a campus bookstore.

Cap, gown and tassel: $46.94

If purchased separately:

  • Gown only: $29.98, plus tax
  • Cap only: $8.98, plus tax
  • Tassel only: $6.98, plus tax

Note: White stoles are provided to all students participating in graduation regardless of whether they purchase a cap and gown. They can be picked up in the Barnes & Noble bookstore.

*Shipping fees apply.

Pick Up Honors Cord and Stole

Students who have maintained at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA as of the end of Fall 2022 semester will be able pick up their honors cord when available at:

  • Eastern Campus Student Engagement (ESS 1303)
  • Metropolitan Campus Student Life (MCC 200L2)
  • Western Campus Student Engagement (WHCS A100)
  • Westshore Campus (SLT 214)

Stoles

Stoles (other than the white ones provided by the College) are available by individual groups for purchase. Contact your affinity group (e.g. PTK, Black American Council, Lambda GSA) for specific stole-ordering and purchasing information.

Update your contact information:

If you petitioned to graduate for spring 2022, you will be informed of the results within two months of the ceremony. Diplomas, certificates and letters will be sent via USPS.

Deadline to petition for Spring 2022 Commencement is Friday, April 7.

GradImages Photo Information

GradImages is the official photographer of graduate photos during the Commencement ceremony. Each graduate for whom GradImages had an email, or mailing address, should have already received a copy of their proofs.
