Western Campus Student Life Services

Student Life offers a variety of resources and services that enhance students' overall social, cultural and educational growth by promoting learning and development outside the classroom. Our services are exclusively available to students, but they also offer opportunities for faculty and staff to collaborate with us.

What's Happening at West Newsletter

The What’s Happening at West newsletter is sent every Monday to students whose campus of greatest attendance is West. It features Student Life events happening that week and the next.

Faculty, staff and students who would like to receive the newsletter can be added to the listserv by emailing Joe at joseph.bianchini@tri-c.edu.

Students who wish to be removed from the listserv can also email Joe. Please note that opting out means you will no longer receive the weekly newsletter or other Western Campus Student Life messages—including updates about:

  • Leadership development opportunities (some tied to stipends or scholarships)
  • Clubs and organizations
  • Messages from Student Government
  • Campus events
  • The Pantry

Western Campus Student Life Newsletter Submission Request

Tri-C Departments and chartered student clubs/organizations can request an activity to be featured in the weekly What’s Happening at West newsletter.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Events must be student-focused and open to all Western Campus students.
  • Submissions are due by Wednesday for the following Monday’s newsletter.
  • Submissions will be considered on a first come, first served basis and added to the newsletter based on space (up to two pages).
  • Submissions cannot be submitted more than four weeks prior to the event date.
  • Events will be promoted up to two weeks in advance of the date.
  • Submissions may be edited for clarity, grammar, or space.

Locker Rental

Currently enrolled students can rent lockers for $7 per semester. Visit Admissions and Enrollment Services to rent a locker. A Tri-C student ID (Stomp Card) is required at the time of rental. Then, bring your receipt to the Western Campus Student Life Office, WHCS A100, and pick your locker. Only a limited number of lockers are available in each building of the Western Campus, and rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis. Questions? Contact Debbi at deborah.jensen@tri-c.edu.

Stomp Studio: Where Student Orgs Create

Stocked with supplies like poster paper, markers, paint and computers, the Stomp Studio is a come-and-go space for clubs and organizations to work on projects. Open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in WHCS A101.

Student Leadership Certificate Program

The SLCP is a flexible, self-paced, noncredit program designed to help students grow as leaders, explore their strengths, connect with fellow students, and gain real-world experience that makes their resume stand out. Contact Joe at joseph.bianchini@tri-c.edu to get started today!

Student Clubs and Organizations

Meet new people, explore your interests, and make an impact! Western Campus typically hosts around 20 active student clubs during the academic year. Don’t see a club you love? Start one here! Reach out to Chava at chava.witt@tri-c.edu with any questions.

Specialty Items Reservation

Chartered clubs, organizations and Western Campus departments may borrow our Giant Jenga, Connect Four, cornhole set, event balloons, dominoes, prize wheel, or popcorn machine. To request an item, contact Debbi at deborah.jensen@tri-c.edu for the Specialty Items Reservation Form. Items must stay in the building, be cleaned, and returned right after your event. Requests are considered on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be made more than one month before the event. To help cover the cost of supplies, borrowing the popcorn machine includes a fee of $1 per popcorn bag. Popcorn bags and ingredients provided must be used.

Civic Engagement

Need to register to vote, update your address, or request a vote-by-mail ballot? We’ve got you covered with forms and support. Stop by the Student Life Office to pick up your forms!
