  • All states and Washington, D.C.
    • Social Work Assistant (SWA)
    • Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II)
  • U.S. Territories
    • Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II)

  • All states, Washington, D.C. and U.S. Territories
    • SWA: None.
    • LCDC II: Requires the Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) or an industry credential that includes chemical dependency counseling as part of the scope of practice (i.e. LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, RN, etc.).

  • The Social Work Assistant (SWA) Credential has reciprocal credentials in Michigan, New Hampshire and South Dakota.
