Tri-C Jazz Studies Fellowship

Jazz students

The Tri-C Jazz Studies Fellowship is a premier scholarship program for talented, dedicated student musicians pursuing a career in jazz performance and education.

Designed for students enrolled full time in Tri-C's Associate of Arts in Jazz Studies program, the Fellowship provides comprehensive support. Fellows receive full tuition coverage, an experiential learning stipend, personalized mentorship and unique professional development opportunities.

Throughout the program, Fellows work closely with experienced faculty and industry professionals while participating in master classes, workshops, private coaching and performances. Students build their artistic and technical skills, expand their professional networks, and gain real-world experience that prepares them for successful careers in music and transfer to four-year institutions.

In addition to intensive musical training, Fellows serve as teaching assistants and camp counselors at the Tri-C JazzFest Academy Summer Camp, developing leadership, educational and community engagement skills. Career-focused coaching in recording, marketing, entrepreneurship, gigging and the music business further prepares students for success in today's music industry.

The Fellowship culminates in a professional recording project at the nationally recognized Gill and Tommy LiPuma Center for Creative Arts, giving Fellows a valuable portfolio piece and a strong foundation for their future careers.
