Roofing Program

Area of Study: Applied Industrial Technology (Roofing)
Degree/Certificate: Associate of Applied Science (Apprenticeship program)
Academic School: Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and Computer Science
This program is offered in partnership with the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, & Allied Workers at various local training centers around the state. Students must be currently working in a registered apprenticeship program in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.
A four-year apprenticeship prepares students to work in Roofing and Waterproofing industry. The first three years of the apprenticeship will be a mix of classroom learning and skills practice in the shop and on the job training, and the fourth and final year will be 100% on the job training. Safety is a critical focus and students will learn how to properly recognize and address hazards in the workplace.
