No new students will be accepted in the program after Aug. 22, 2025, for Academic Year 2025-2026. Current students should reach out to an academic counselor to create an academic plan to complete their remaining Construction Tending and Hazardous Material Abatement Technology courses.

Students must be currently working in a registered apprenticeship program in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.
The apprenticeship program prepares the student to earn a journey-level status in Construction Tending and Hazardous Materials Abatement, as well as earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Applied Industrial Technology. A 3-year apprenticeship emphasizes the skill set required to be a highly skilled craftsman. These apprentices assist other trades on the job site as well as prepare the job site by removing any hazardous materials.
