Adult Diploma Program

The Adult Diploma Program helps you obtain a high school diploma and certification in an in-demand career field at no cost.

Program Overview

The Adult Diploma Program at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) offers Ohio residents age 18 and older the opportunity to earn a state-issued high school diploma while completing an industry-recognized workforce credential. This dual-purpose, 2-for-1 program is designed to enhance employment prospects by combining academic achievement with career training.

Participants must complete both components to graduate.

To enroll in the Adult Diploma Program, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have not received a high school or GED diploma
  • Live in the state of Ohio

To receive a state of Ohio-issued high school diploma and in-demand certificate, you must:

  • Receive a score of 12 or higher on the ACT WorkKeys Certification Assessment
  • Meet all requirements to obtain in-demand certification
