Graphic of Pat PastoreThe Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) Foundation announced its 2022-2023 leadership team during its annual meeting, with Pat Pastore, PNC regional president for Cleveland, becoming chairperson.

Pastore succeeds Louis G. Joseph, president and CEO of the Brewer-Garrett Company, who concludes his two-year term. Other Foundation board officer appointments include:

  • Vice chairpersons: James B. Aronoff, partner, Thompson Hine LLP; Jeneen Marziani, president, Bank of America Ohio; and Lorna Wisham, vice president, corporate affairs and community involvement, FirstEnergy
  • Secretary: Katherine T. O’Neill, community leader
  • Treasurer and vice chairperson: Gregory J. Skoda, senior partner, Marcum LLP
  • President: Megan O’Bryan, vice president, resource development, Tri-C

The Foundation welcomed incoming College president, Michael A. Baston, Ed.D., as an ex officio director, effective July 1, 2022. William H. Gary Sr., executive vice president of Tri-C’s Workforce, Community and Economic Development division, also joins the board as an ex officio director.

Tri-C President Emeritus Alex Johnson and former directors Tracy A. Oliver and James A. Strassman were appointed directors emeritus for their exemplary contributions to the College, its students and the Foundation.

Oliver joined the Tri-C Foundation board in 2003 and retired from Dominion East Ohio as director of media and local affairs in December 2021. Strassman, president of Strassman Insurance Services, became a Foundation director in 2001. He continues to serve on the board of Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland.

Chartered in 1973, the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the mission to secure funding for scholarships and program development and enhancement at Tri-C.

Last year, with support from the Foundation, the College awarded $4 million in scholarships to nearly 3,000 students in need.
