COVID-19 Vaccines Available Sept. 7-8 at Tri-C Campuses
Students will receive incentives for first and second shots
Tri-C students are encouraged to “get the shot” during a series of vaccination clinics in September, when two-dose COVID-19 vaccines will be administered at Tri-C’s campuses. The vaccines, offered through a partnership with Care Alliance Health Center, are available on a walk-in basis.
Students receiving their first shot will have $10 added to their Stomp Card (student ID), valid for food and other purchases at Tri-C’s food service and bookstore sites. Upon receiving their second shot, participants will receive a special edition “Got the Shot” T-shirt. In addition to students, the vaccination clinics are open to Tri-C faculty and staff. You must be 18 or over to receive the vaccine. The schedule is as follows:
Eastern Campus: 10 a.m. – noon, Student Services building, room 1531 (next to pool room). Park in Lot R.
Metropolitan Campus: 2-4 p.m., North Concourse. Park in Lot 4.
Western Campus: 10 a.m. – noon, Theatre lobby. Park in Lot C.
Westshore Campus: 2-4 p.m., Liberal Arts and Technology building (overhang near entrance). Park in Lot 1.
“This is a team effort,” said Tri-C President Alex Johnson. “We’re proud to partner with Care Alliance on these vaccination clinics and to provide our students with this great opportunity to roll up their sleeves and get the shot. That is how this pandemic will be defeated: one vaccinated person at a time.”
A government-issued ID with name and address is required to receive the vaccine, however there is no cost. Visit tri-c.edu/gettheshot for more information. Second doses will be scheduled when participants receive their first shot.
