Tri-C’s Dominick Bucko claimed baseball Player of the Week recognition, while Lyndsey Baglia (Pitcher of the Week) and Cassandra Fendrick (Player of the Week) swept the softball awards for performances April 1-7.

Here’s how they did it.

The sophomore from Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, is working toward an Associate of Arts degree at Tri-C.

Baglia threw the first perfect game in Tri-C softball history against Edison State Community College and followed that up with a complete-game victory over Sinclair Community College. She has won consecutive OCCAC Pitcher of the Week awards.

The freshman from Doylestown is studying visual communication and design at the College.

Fendrick hit .563 (9-16) with two home runs and eight RBI to help power the softball team to three wins in four conference game. She is the third consecutive Tri-C player to win the conference’s softball Player of the Week award.

The freshman from North Royalton is working toward a degree in medical laboratory technology.

Tri-C’s nationally ranked softball team is now 20-6 on the season and atop the conference standings. The baseball team is 15-13 and second in the OCCAC. Both teams play their home games at Tri-C’s Western Campus in Parma.
